All right, everyone. I have launched a Patreon, which you can find at
the link immediately below. If you love my stories, and want to express
that with a small amount of money, please click through and pledge.

What is Patreon?If
you somehow haven’t heard of it, Patreon is a way for communities to
support creators. You sign up to have an account, and pledge an amount
of money monthly as a way of saying, “I like what you’re doing, please
keep doing it.” Patreon gets a small cut, and I get the rest.
Why have I launched a Patreon?For
a couple of reasons. One, because a lot of you seem to really like my
stories and want to support me, and here’s a great way to let you do
that. Two, because the Tumblr-pocalypse means that I’m about to lose a
lot of followers. Patreon offers a way both to keep some of the most
passionate community together, and to let those who are passionate AND
have disposable income motivate me through a period that involves more
work but a smaller audience.
Do I need the money?Not
really. My regular paying job doesn’t pay as much over the holidays but
I’m not in financial stress. On the other hand, writing a story a day
is honestly a fairly big commitment for something that doesn’t pay, and
it’s a lot easier to justify out of my schedule when the time is paid.
Plus the migration off Tumblr has meant a HUGE spike of work - still
unpaid - and that’s actually taken a little time out of my paid work to
arrange.
Does this mean fans need to pay to see my stories?Absolutely
not. I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing - writing sexy fucked-up
stories - and making them freely available to fans, via the new location
at alltheseroadworks.bdsmlr.com.
You can go on doing what you do without paying a cent extra. BUT if
you’ve got a bit of extra cash, if you’re well-paid, and if you love
what I do, you can now express that and know that you’re supporting free
kink for all those who aren’t as well off.
What will I use the money for?I’m
not honestly expecting to rake in a huge monthly take off this, so if I
get enough per month to pay for a couple of hours of my time that would
be great. That lets me justify the time I spend writing as paid time,
and gives me incentive to schedule and track it as work. In the
unlikely event that Patreon makes me a *lot* more money - enough to pay
for *days* of work - then we’ll talk at that point about how I spend
those days. Ebook releases? Audiobooks? Just a whole ton more
writing? There are lots of possibilities.
How much does it cost?I’ve
set the minimum tier at $5 a month, but I’m open to discussion about
that. You can get in on the ground floor at that level, or you can go
as far above that as you want. Please pledge responsibly! HIgher tiers
have a couple of perks - name a character in a story; get a document
version of my stories Titcage and The Lesbian Debt - but I’m still
working this out and seeing what the interest actually is. I may change
things around. If I *do* change things, obviously it will be in a way
where no one who has already pledged ends up worse off.
How else can you support me?Reblog
this post. Reblog my stories. Just keep sending me your
appreciation. I’m making the effort to republish the stories, and start
this Patron, entirely because of how strongly and often you’ve all
expressed the enjoyment you get from what I write - please keep it up.
Final noteThe copy of this post on the All These Roadworks Tumblr MAY be the last post at that site. All new
content is going to alltheseroadworks.bdsmlr.com. If you haven’t gone
across there yet, please do - and please be patient. It’s a new site,
they’re trying to scale up to deal with the huge traffic spike, and a
lot of features are in active development and may be temporarily
disabled. I’m very reassured by their level of communication and the
speed of their improvement, so I think it’s worth all of our time. I
hope to see you there.
