Just keeping you all up to date.
The last story posts in the Tumblr queue will go live today, after which there will be no new story posts on Tumblr. The only new content there will be text posts about where I'm going / what I'm doing.
Fans have offered me a bunch of wonderful alternative options for hosting. However, testing a site involves creating and verifying an account, reading its content policies carefully, creating a profile and tweaking settings, uploading enough content to get a feel for what the site can and can't do, and often struggling with doing things "wrong" for a while before getting a post to look "right". That takes a surprisingly huge amount of time - possibly hours - and the reality is that in December my time was already mightily short.
So I've had to pick an option, and commit, knowing that it's imperfect - and I've picked BDSMLR.
It's a Tumblr-like site, and it's in rapid and ongoing development as we speak - the rate of change and improvement over the last few days is impressive. It aims to offer a near-identical service to Tumblr, but exclusively and specifically for porn and kink content. It doesn't offer everything that Tumblr did, and some features are highly buggy right now, but it does have community-building tools and a genuine and rapid plan to improve.
Please head on over to BDSMLR and follow me. You can find me there at alltheseroadworks.bdsmlr.com. How that link displays when you click through is fairly variable - you might get a page of my content, or you might just be sent to a login or dashboard. Please stick with it - it's getting there.
Is this the final destination of my content? I don't know, but it's the destination I'm committing to in evacuating from Tumblr, and I don't expect to invest anywhere else until at least January, so that's where you can find me for now.
As mentioned, I will be launching a Patreon, probably this weekend, and if any meaningful number of you respond to that it may open up some other options in terms of my content going forward.
In terms of the Tumblr account, I'm going to leave it open and see what Tumblr does to it come 16 December. They may deactivate the account entirely, in which case you can use the contact list below for me. If they don't, I'll likely finish purging any story content they haven't deleted, but leave it up for a while to stay in contact with followers over any further transitions.
